Here's our pond where much of this weekend's attention was focused.
And another view of the yard from the bottom of the hill.
And the plumbing required for the pump to filter the water and keep the fish happy.
All 25 of them!
And one frog who never moved from his place on the rock all afternoon.
The overcast drizzly day makes for perfect lighting of the plants.
Including some beautiful bleeding hearts. And now it's time for a glass of wine and some snacks before getting ready for supper.
Have a nice day!
Ha en trevlig dag!

Now the magic question is, does a biologist for the Canadian Fisheries Ministry have the required fish permit to stock 25 fish in his back yard? I'm kidding of course. Nice pictures Mike.
Nice pictures of a nice garden - must be an awful lot of work!
The fish look huge! They must be enjoying all of the recent rain water :)
I'm impressed. I, on the other hand, spent an hour pulling dandelions from my lawn on Sunday afternoon.
Great photos Mike. Takes up almost as much time as running eh?
Very cute...and it does require too much work for me, so we dug up our pond a year after we bought a house. I am not even sure anything grows in there:)
Mike, very nice pictures. Taking care of the yard can be like running a marathon - it never seems to end.
Thanks all for the nice comments, maybe I should do more non-running posts ;-) Yes, its alot of work but it keeps me out of trouble when I'm not running.
Looks nice :-)
You have a beautiful yard. Wanna come fix up mine...lol.
You've got a beautiful place there. I'm not sure I'd leave to get out on the road if I had a spot like that.
