It's really hard to get up off the couch on some days.
It was pretty but messy today with mild temperatures (near 0C) and a light snowfall.
In the ups and downs of working and day to day pressures etc sometimes running can be a struggle. That's been the short story for the last few days.
Sunday - 20 miles in 2:55 (8:45 pace) as I basically just put my head down and just did it. Log says 'tough run, barely able to make headway into the wind, windchill -18C and dropping as the run progressed
Monday - day of rest
Tues - 8 miles of the slowest kind today(840 pace). Log says tough, struggle, tired, dead legs, no energy but I'm feeling better tonite. It's a good thing that this is a cutback week. Medium long run tomorrow and then off to PEI to deliver the crazy cat and visit the student-vet.
Here's to better running for the rest of the week!

Struggling is certainly better than throwing in the towel. Enjoy the cutback week.
Rob is right, only a mad man would do sunday's long run :)
Way to push through it all - work, weather, daily life - and get the long run in...it wouldn't have been so bad if you were at training camp. :)
For someone who doesn't like that cat, you sure seem awfully disposed to photograph it...
Good job getting those tough runs in! The weather's been hard here.
Windchill and headwind are enough to put me off a short run not to mind a 20 miles. As for -18c ... never heard of it. Keep up the struggle.
That’s a nice string of long runs you’ve been putting together. Nice work! That’s exactly what I need to start doing.
